Light french apple tart

Published on by inhel

I always challenge myself to create a light version of my favoriate desert. I'm very proud of this invention. You can serve it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Crust

250 g while whole flour ou whole pastery flour
125 g plain yogurt
1 egg
2 tbsp water
3 tbsp sugar
pinch of baking soda

Filling

2 apples
100 ml creme fraiche (you find it at whole foods, Giant, Trader`s Joe)
100 ml plain yogurt
2  eggs
3 tbsp sugar

Preheat the oven to 375 F.
To prepare the crust mix all the ingredients together and work them with you hand. Gather the dough into a ball. Chill it for an hour. Roll the dough and fit it in a  9 inch pie pan.

In a bowl, mix the creme, yogurt, eggs and  sugar.  Pour this mix over the crust.
Peel and core the apples, cut them in half. Cut each half into quarters. Lay the apple slices over the filling, sligthly overlapping them.
Bake the tart for 40 minutes. Enjoy without guilt!!!!
