Morrocan seafood pastilla

This is a delicious pastille. It is absolutely delicious. It takes a while to make but it is absolutely worth it.



You will need:

10 bricks

1 lb white fish (tilapia for example)

¾ lb shrimp

75g rice sticks

2 onions diced

¼ chopped parsley

4 garlic cloves smashed

1 tsp cumin

salt and pepper

½ tsp paprika

1 tsp ground red pepper

3 to 4 tbsp soya sauce

Shredded cheese

Juice of 1 lemon

¼ cup butter

Season the white fish with salt and pepper and sauté it in 1 tbsp of butter. When cooked. Set aside.


Season the shrimps with salt and pepper and sauté in 1 tbsp of butter. Set aside.

Sauté the onions set aside.

In hot water cook the rice sticks. Set aside.

In medium heat, add some butter to the pan and put in the fish and the shrimp, sautéed onions, cooked rice stick, parsley, garlic, cumin, paprika, ground red pepper, soya sauce and lemon juice. Stir everything together. Like in the picture below.

 




Butter the pie pan, the put 4 or 5 briks brushing them with butter and overlapping them. Pour the mixture over the briks. Like in the picture below. Sprinkle the cheese over.

 



Close them, butter the top and add another brick on the top. Brush with butter.

Cook at 400 F for 30 minutes.
