Crusty whole wheat baguette

This is a delicious baguette so easy to make.
You will need:
  • 1/2 c Plus 1 tablespoon cold water
  • 1 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 3 tbsp Honey
  • 1 c Whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 c Bread flour
  • 1 tbsp of canola or olive oil
  • 1 1/4 tsp of dry yeast
Put the yeast in the warm water and 1/2 tsp sugar. Let it rest for 5 minutes.
In your standing mixer, pour the yeast mixture, flour, salt, honey and canola.
Mix at low speed for 3 to 4 minutes. Then mix again at medium speed for another 3 minutes.
In a sligthly floured surface work the dough with your hands.
Then form one log and let the dough rise for 1 hr to 1 1/2hr .
Bake at 375F for 30 minutes. Enjoy the fresh baguette.
